17.11.2020 Brexit-Seminar Effects of the EU withdrawal on the MedTech sector
17.11.2020 14:00 - 16:00 Uhr
organizer: BVMed
Schwerpunkt: Kommunikation
Zum Thema
Following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) on 1 February 2020, the two sides are negotiating future economic relations during the transitional phase until 31 December 2020 laid down in the withdrawal agreement.
The relationship between the EU and the UK will change radically from 1 January 2021, when the UK will no longer be part of the Internal Market and Customs Union, whether or not an agreement is concluded by the end of the year.
The medtech industry, whose export quota is around 65 percent (almost 5 percent goes to the exporting country Great Britain), and its trade relations will also be affected by the UK's withdrawal.
To ensure that the industry is best prepared for all possible scenarios, the Brexit seminar will provide information on the current status of negotiations and what can be expected for the medtech industry from 1 January 2021.
Among others the following questions will be addressed:
- What are the problems and uncertainties related to Brexit for the industry and how can these be avoided?
- What comes along with the new UKCA certification and what is the difference to the CE mark?
- How can UK-EU business relations be successfully maintained after 2021?
The seminar is held in English!
